A ridge of high pressure is extending towards the Adriatic from the northwest, while a low is expected to shift from northern Africa towards the Ionian Sea.

NE winds 6-16, only in places up to 20, easing around midday and turning to NW 6-16 knots, and strengthening again in the evening. Sea 2-3. Visibility 20 km. Fine or fair, but clouds increase with a chance of rain in the South Adriatic from midday, and of isolated rain showers with thunder in the far south.
