Synopsis
The cold front is slowly approaching the Adriatic from the northwest and it is shifting mainly north of the Adriatic.
Weather forecast for the Adriatic for the first 12 hours
In the North, then in a part of the Central Adriatic, NE winds 12-22, in the Velebit Channel up to 28 knots. In the rest of the Adriatic mainly SW and NW winds 4-14 knots. Sea 1-2, in the North Adriatic increasing to 2-3, in the Velebit Channel to 3-4. Visibility 20 km. Mostly clear, but in places of the North Adriatic variably cloudy with a chance of isolated rain showers and thunder, particularly in the far north.

Moderate to strong NE winds, in the Velebit Channel up to near gale force. In the South and in a part of the Central Adriatic light to moderate NW winds, turning during the night to NE, in the second part of the night possibly up to fresh. Sea smooth or slight, in the Velebit Channel up to moderate. Mostly clear, but in the North Adriatic variably cloudy with a chance of isolated rain showers and thunder.
