IN THE SOUTH AND IN A PART OF THE CENTRAL ADRIATIC THIS MORNING LOCAL GUSTS OF NE, IN THE AFTERNOON OF NW WINDS, 35-40, AND ALL ALONG THE ADRIATIC FROM THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT OF NE and N WINDS, STRENGTHENING TO 35-50 KNOTS. A CHANCE OF LIGHT ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS IN THE NORTH ADRIATIC AROUND MIDDAY AND IN THE AFTERNOON.
Synopsis
The ridge of high pressure is still intensifying from the northwest, while the weakened frontal system will be drifting north of the Adriatic.

NE winds 6-16, in places up to 20, rapidly turning in the North Adriatic to SW and NW 4-12, more to the south of the Adriatic around midday and in the afternoon to NW winds 12-24 knots. Sea 2-3, toward the open of the South and of a part of the Central Adriatic in the afternoon 3-4. Visibility above 20 km. Fine or fair, along the coast of the northern part of the Adriatic around midday and in the afternoon variably cloudy with a chance of rain or isolated rain showers with thunder.
