GUSTS OF NE WINDS STRENGTHENING IN THE NORTH ADRIATIC TO 35-45, IN THE VELEBIT CHANNEL UP TO 50 AND POSSIBLY MORE TO THE SOUTH OF THE ADRIATIC UP TO 40 KNOTS FROM THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT. A SMALL CHANCE OF LIGHT ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS.

The ridge of high pressure is extending from the northwest, the frontal system is drifting north of the Adriatic, while unstable air still sits in high levels

In the Central and South Adriatic SE and E winds 4-14, in places briefly up to 18, turning during the night to NE, toward the open sea to NW, 6-16, in places up to 22 knots, mainly in the southern part. In the North Adriatic NE winds 6-16, in the Velebit Channel up to 22, strengthening toward the end of the day to 12-22, in the Velebit Channel up to 26 knots. Sea 2-3, locally in the Velebit Channel up to 4. Visibility 10-20 km. Variably cloudy with a chance of light scattered rain or a few spotty showers with thunder. Partly clear expected in the North Adriatic.
