Synopsis
The cold front is expected to shift across the Adriatic and the ridge of high pressure to intensify from the northwest.
Weather forecast for the Adriatic for the first 12 hours
NE winds strengthening in the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic to 15-25, in the Velebit Channel up to 38 knots. In the South and in a part of the Central Adriatic NW winds 6-14 knots, turning to NE toward the end of the day. Sea 2-3, increasing in the North Adriatic to 3-4. Visibility 10-20, in places reduced to around 5 km due to mist. Gradual cloud increase with a little rain in places of the North Adriatic.

Moderate to strong and near gale force, in the Velebit Channel up to gale force NE winds. Sea slight and moderate, in the North Adriatic up to rough. Variably and mainly cloudy with light scattered rain in the North and Central Adriatic, and with sleet and snow along the coast of the North Adriatic. Clearing is expected in the North Adriatic tomorrow morning. Significantly colder.
