LOCAL GUSTS OF NW, IN THE SOUTH AND IN A PART OF THE CENTRAL ADRIATIC THIS MORNING STILL OF S and SW WINDS, 35-50 KNOTS, EASING DURING THE NIGHT. SEA LOCALLY UP TO 5, MAINLY IN THE OPEN OF THE SOUTH AND CENTRAL ADRIATIC TODAY. ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS, MAINLY THIS MORNING.

The trough with frontal system is shifting rapidly across the Adriatic further southeastwards, while the ridge of high pressure is intensifying from the northwest.

NW, in the South and in a part of the Central Adriatic this morning S and SW winds, 12-24, toward the open sea up to 32 knots. In the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic toward the end of the day and during the night NW winds easing to 10-20 knots. Sea 3-4, only locally up to 5, mainly in the open of the Central and South Adriatic today. Visibility 10-20 km. Gradual clearing, but in the South Adriatic this morning and in the Central at first, still scattered rain, isolated rain showers and thunder.

Moderate to fresh, in the south of the Adriatic up to strong, toward the open sea possibly up to near gale force NW winds, easing gradually in the North and in a part of the Central, from the middle of the night in the rest of the Adriatic, to light to moderate, and turning along the coast to NE, in the northern part of the Adriatic in the second part of the night to SE and E winds. Sea slight and moderate, in the open of the South and Central Adriatic possibly up to rough today, calming in the North, then in the Central Adriatic, to smooth and slight. Mostly clear.
