The ridge of high pressure is intensifying toward the Adriatic from the northwest, while the deep trough is shifting eastwards.
Weather forecast for the Adriatic for the first 12 hours
NE and N winds further strengthening to 24-44, in places during the night up to 52 knots. Sea increasing to 5-6, toward the open of the South and Central Adriatic possibly up to 7. Visibility 20 km. Variably cloudy, still with a chance of a little rain or isolated rain showers with thunder. Clearing is expected in the northern part of the Adriatic toward the end of the day and during the night. Significantly colder.

Strong and gale force NE and N winds, in places up to storm force, easing slowly in the northern part of the Adriatic around midday. Sea rough, toward the open up to very rough, in the South and Central Adriatic possibly high. In the South and Central Adriatic at first still variably cloudy with a risk of a little rain or isolated rain showers, then gradual clearing is expected.
