IN THE SOUTH AND CENTRAL ADRIATIC LOCAL GUSTS OF NW, ALONG THE COAST OF NE WINDS, 35-45 KNOTS, EASING GRADUALLY TOWARD THE END OF THE DAY. SEA IN THE OPEN OF SOUTH AND OF A PART OF THE CENTRAL ADRIATIC STILL UP TO 5 TODAY. A LITTLE RISK OF LIGHT ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS IN THE SOUTH ADRIATIC AT FIRST.
Synopsis
The ridge of high pressure from the southwest is gradually intensifying over the Adriatic, while the low is shifting further southeastwards.
Weather forecast for the Adriatic for the first 12 hours
NE and NW winds 6-16, in the South and Central Adriatic up to 20, toward the open sea up to 28 knots, easing gradually toward the end of the day and turning in the North Adriatic during the night to SE and SW. Sea 3-4, in the open of the South and of a part of the Central Adriatic up to 5, calming gradually. Visibility 10-20 km. Mostly clear, but in the South Adriatic at first still variably cloudy in places with a risk of rain or showers and thunder.
Weather forecast for the next 12 hours
Light to moderate NW winds easing gradually in the southern part of the Adriatic as well and turning to SE, strengthening toward midday to moderate, in the North and Central Adriatic to fresh. Sea smooth or slight, in the open of the South Adriatic at first still up to moderate. Mostly clear, but in the North Adriatic cloud increase is expected, bringing possibly light scattered rain toward midday.
