LOCAL GUSTS OF NE WINDS 35-45, IN THE VELEBIT CHANNEL UP TO 55 KNOTS. IN THE OPEN SEA OF THE NORTH ADRIATIC A RISK OF FOG PATCHES. LIGHT ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS.
Synopsis
The trough with frontal disturbance is shifting across the Adriatic further southeastwards, while the ridge of high pressure is briefly intensifying from the northwest. A new trough is expected to approach tomorrow.
Weather forecast for the Adriatic for the first 12 hours
NE winds strengthening to 10-20, in places up to 24, in the Velebit Channel up to 28 knots. Sea 2-3, toward the open and in the Velebit Channel 3-4. Visibility 10-20, toward the open of the North Adriatic possibly less than 1 km due to fog. Mostly clear, but in places still variably cloudy with a risk of isolated rain showers and thunder, mainly toward the open sea.
Weather forecast for the next 12 hours
Moderate, in places up to strong NE winds, easing slowly and turning toward midday to SE. Sea slight. Toward the open sea of the North Adriatic a risk of fog patches. Mostly clear, but in the North Adriatic cloud increase is expected, bringing rain in places toward midday.
