IN THE CENTRAL AND SOUTH ADRIATIC LOCAL GUSTS OF SE WINDS 35-50, TOWARD THE END OF THE DAY AND DURING THE NIGHT UP TO 70 KNOTS. IN THE NORTH ADRIATIC IN THE AFTERNOON BRIEF GUSTS OF NE WINDS 35-45, DURING THE NIGHT AGAIN OF SE, RAPIDLY STRENGTHENING TO 40-70 KNOTS. SEA LOCALLY 5, IN THE OPEN TOWARD THE END OF THE DAY AND DURING THE NIGHT UP TO 6. ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS, PARTICULARLY IN THE NORTH AND IN A PART OF THE CENTRAL ADRIATIC.
Synopsis
The broad trough is slowly shifting across the Mediterranean and the low over the Tyrrhenian Sea is expected to deepen and to shift across the Adriatic tomorrow.
Weather forecast for the Adriatic for the first 12 hours
SE winds 14-28, in places up to 32, easing a little briefly and strengthening again toward the end of the day to 18-38, in places up to 44 knots. In the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic SW and NW winds 8-18, in the afternoon briefly NE up to 24, then again SE winds rapidly strengthening to 18-38, in places up to 44 knots. Sea 3-4, locally up to 5. Mainly cloudy with rain, showers and thunder in places, particularly in the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic.
