LOCAL GUSTS OF SE WINDS 35-45, STRENGTHENING IN THE NORTH AND CENTRAL ADRIATIC DURING THE DAY UP TO 60 KNOTS AND SEA INCREASING LOCALLY UP TO 5, CEASING AND CALMING IN THE NORTH ADRIATIC RAPIDLY DURING THE NIGHT. ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS IN THE NORTH ADRIATIC, PARTICULARLY IN THE EVENING AND DURING THE NIGHT, POSSIBLY IN A PART OF THE CENTRAL ADRIATIC AS WELL.

The deep low over the central Mediterranean is extending a trough with frontal system toward the Adriatic.
Weather forecast for the Adriatic for the first 12 hours
SE winds 15-25, strengthening in places up to 30, in the North and Central Adriatic up to 35 knots. Sea 2-3, increasing to 3-4, locally up to 5, firstly in the North and most lately in the South Adriatic. Visibility 10-20 km. Variably and mainly cloudy with scattered rain in the North, then gradually in the rest of the Adriatic. A risk of isolated rain showers and thunder, particularly in the North Adriatic in the evening.

Fresh to near gale force, in places up to gale force SE winds, turning in the North Adriatic to SW and NW and ceasing rapidly. Sea slight and moderate, locally up to rough, calming gradually in the North Adriatic. Mainly cloudy with scattered rain, in the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic with isolated rain showers and thunder.
