IN THE NORTH AND IN A PART OF THE CENTRAL, IN THE SECOND PART OF THE NIGHT IN THE EXTREME SOUTH OF THE ADRIATIC, LOCAL GUSTS OF NE WINDS 35-50, IN THE VELEBIT CHANNEL UP TO 60 KNOTS. LIGHT ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS, PARTICULARLY TOWARD THE OPEN SEA.
Synopsis
The ridge of high pressure and the cold front are extending toward the Adriatic from the northwest and slowly shifting eastwards, while the shallow low is shifting from the Ligurian toward the Tyrrhenian Sea.
Weather forecast for the Adriatic for the first 12 hours
In the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic NE winds 10-20, in places up to 26, in the Velebit Channel up to 32 knots. More to the south calm or SE and E winds 4-12, turning in the evening to NE up to 16 knots. Sea increasing to 2-3, in the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic to 3-4. Visibility 10-20, in the southern part of the Adriatic locally reduced to around 5 km due to mist. Variably cloudy with scattered rain or isolated rain showers with thunder.

In the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic moderate to near gale force NE winds, more to the south light to moderate, only in the extreme south, toward the Strait of Otranto, up to strong. Sea smooth or slight, in the northern part up to moderate. Variably cloudy with scattered rain and isolated rain showers and thunder, particularly in the southern part and in the open sea. In the northern part of the Adriatic partial clearing during the forenoon.
