IN THE SOUTH ADRIATIC A LITTLE RISK OF LIGHT ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS. IN THE VELEBIT CHANNEL AT FIRST LOCAL GUSTS OF NE, IN THE OPEN SEA OF THE SOUTH AND CENTRAL ADRIATIC OF NW WINDS, 35-40 KNOTS.
Synopsis
The shallow low is slowly shifting from the South Adriatic further southeastwards, while a new trough with frontal disturbance is expected to approach from the northwest tomorrow.
Weather forecast for the Adriatic for the first 12 hours
In the North Adriatic NE, in the open sea NW winds, 6-16, in the Velebit Channel at first up to 20, easing to 4-10 knots. Elsewhere NW winds 10-20, in the open sea up to 26, easing to 6-16, in the open of the South Adriatic up to 20 knots. Sea 3-4. Visibility 20 km. Mostly clear, but in places of the South Adriatic variably cloudy with a little risk of isolated rain showers and thunder.

Mostly clear, in places of the South Adriatic variably cloudy with a little risk of isolated rain showers with thunder. In the North Adriatic around midday cloud increase with a risk of rain. Light to moderate NW winds will ease and die away, while in the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic light SE is expected. Sea smooth or slight, in the open of the South Adriatic at first still up to moderate.
