LOCAL GUSTS OF NE WINDS 35-55, IN THE VELEBIT CHANNEL THIS MORNING STILL UP TO 70 KNOTS, EASING IN THE AFTERNOON TO 35-40, ONLY IN THE VELEBIT CHANNEL AND IN THE EXTREME SOUTH STILL UP TO 50 KNOTS.

The ridge of high pressure lies over the Adriatic and keeps a settled weather.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

NE winds 14-24, in places up to 28, in the Velebit Channel up to 36, easing in the afternoon to 10-20, and turning briefly toward the open sea to NW, and strengthening in places in the evening again up to 24, in the Velebit Channel and in the extreme south of the Adriatic still up to 28 knots. Sea 2-3, locally in the open up to 4. Visibility above 20 km. Mostly clear, but over the Central and South Adriatic still variably cloudy this morning.
