SYNOPSIS

The trough with frontal disturbance is shifting eastwards, while a ridge of high pressure is intensifying from the northwest.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

NE winds 10-20, in places of the North Adriatic up to 25, and in the Velebit Channel up to 35 knots. Toward the open sea of the South and of a part of the Central Adriatic NW winds 10-20 knots. Sea 2-3, in the North Adriatic 3-4. Visibility 15-25 km. In the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic clearing, but elsewhere still variably cloudy with a risk of light scattered rain in the morning. A little warmer.

Mostly clear, but in the southern part of the Adriatic at first still variably cloudy. Moderate to strong, in the Velebit Channel up to near gale force NE winds. Sea smooth or slight, in the North and toward the open of the South Adriatic up to moderate.
