IN THE OPEN OF THE NORTH ADRIATIC SEA LOCALLY UP TO 5. A RISK OF LIGHT ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS.

SYNOPSIS

The trough with frontal disturbance is slowly shifting across the Central and South Adriatic further eastwards, while a ridge of high pressure is intensifying from the northwest.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

In the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic NE winds 14-32, in the Velebit Channel up to 38, in the South and in a part of the Central Adriatic SE and SW winds turning gradually to NE and strengthening in the evening to 10-20, in places up to 24 knots. Sea 3-4, in the South and in a part of the Central Adriatic 2-3, in the open of the northern part and in the Velebit Channel 4-5. Visibility 10-20 km. Variably cloudy with scattered rain and with risk of isolated rain showers and thunder.

In the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic strong and near gale force, in places up to gale force NE, more to the south of the Adriatic mainly up to fresh. Sea slight and moderate, in the open of the northern part possibly up to rough. Variably cloudy with a little risk of scattered rain, isolated rain showers and thunder, mainly in the Central and South Adriatic, while gradual clearing is expected in the North Adriatic.
