A RISK OF THUNDERSTORMS.

SYNOPSIS

The trough with frontal disturbance is shifting across the Adriatic southeastwards, while a ridge of high pressure is intensifying from the northwest.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

In the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic NE winds 14-32, in the Velebit Channel up to 38 knots. In the South and in a part of the Central Adriatic SE and SW winds 12-24 knots, dying away during the forenoon, firstly in the northern part. Sea 3-4, in the open of the North Adriatic possibly up to 5, calming in the South and in a part of the Central Adriatic to 2-3. Visibility 10-20 km. Mainly cloudy with scattered rain, isolated rain showers and thunder, mainly in the Central, at first in the North Adriatic as well.
