WARNING

IN THE EXTREME SOUTH OF THE ADRIATIC GUSTS OF SE WINDS AROUND 35 KNOTS. LIGHT ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS IN THE SOUTH AND MAINLY DURING THE FORENOON IN A PART OF THE CENTRAL ADRIATIC.

SYNOPSIS

The frontal system is slowly withdrawing from the Adriatic further eastwards, while a new shallow trough is expected to generate over the central Mediterranean.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

SE and SW winds, only in places briefly NW, 4-14, while in the southern part of the Adriatic most of the day still SE up to 22 knots. Sea 2-3, in the extreme south of the Adriatic 3-4, but calming gradually. Visibility 10-20, in places around 4 km due to mist. Variably cloudy with scattered rain, and mainly in the South and in a part of the Central Adriatic isolated rain showers with thunder. Partial clearing is expected during the forenoon, firstly in the North, then gradually more to the south of the Adriatic.

Light to moderate SE and SW winds. Sea smooth or slight. Partly clear, but in the extreme south of the Adriatic still variably cloudy with a risk of scattered rain, isolated rain showers and thunder. Mist in places. Air temperatures a little lower.
