SYNOPSIS

The shallow trough is shifting across the Adriatic, while a ridge of high pressure will intensify a little from the west.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

NE and NW, only in the extreme south of the Adriatic at first still SE winds, 6-16, in places up to 20 knots, easing in the North Adriatic in the afternoon. Sea 2-3, in the open of the South Adriatic in the afternoon 3-4, calming in the North Adriatic to 1-2. Visibility 10-20, toward the open of the North Adriatic reduced in places to around 4 km due to mist. Fine or fair, in places in the first part of the day still variably cloudy with a risk of scattered rain or isolated rain showers with thunder mainly in the open sea.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE NEXT 12 HOURS

Winds will ease in the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic, but more to the south still moderate to fresh NE and NW winds. Sea smooth, in the South and in a part of the Central Adriatic slight, and in the open of the South Adriatic possibly up to moderate. Mist in places of the North Adriatic. Mostly clear.
