LOCAL GUSTS OF NE and N WINDS 35-45, AT FIRST STILL UP TO 55 KNOTS, EASING IN THE NORTH AND CENTRAL ADRIATIC TOWARD THE END OF THE DAY AND DURING THE NIGHT, AND IN THE SOUTH ADRIATIC FROM THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT.

SYNOPSIS

The ridge of high pressure is extending across the Adriatic from the north.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

NE and N winds 12-24, in places at first still up to 28, easing in the North and Central Adriatic toward the end of the day and during the night, and in the South from the middle of the night, and turning to NW 6-16 knots, mainly toward the open sea. West and north of Istria variable winds 4-12 knots. Sea 3-4, in the North, then in the greater part of the Central Adriatic, calming gradually to 2-3, west and north of Istria to 1-2. Visibility 10-20 km. Mostly clear.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE NEXT 12 HOURS

Mostly clear. Light NE and NW, toward the open of the Central and South Adriatic during the night still up to moderate NW winds. In the extreme south of the Adriatic at first still up to fresh NE winds. Winds will ease in the course of the morning. Sea smooth, in the South and in a part of the Central Adriatic during the night still up to slight, and in the extreme south of the Adriatic up to moderate at first.
