SYNOPSIS

The cold front is shifting across the Adriatic southwards, while a ridge of high pressure is intensifying from the north.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

NE winds 20-50, easing late in the day to 16-38 knots. Sea 4-5, locally in the open up to 6. Visibility 20 km, in the extreme south of the Adriatic at first possibly reduced due to snow. Mostly clear, but in the open of the South and in the extreme south of the Adriatic during the forenoon still mainly cloudy with scattered rain, isolated rain showers and thunder, and with a risk of snow.
