The ridge of high pressure is extending over the Adriatic from the northwest.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

In the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic NE winds 6-16, south of Istria 10-20, turning gradually toward the open during the night to NW. In the South and in a part of the Central Adriatic NE winds 12-28, in places up to 36, easing gradually to 12-24, in the extreme south up to 32 knots. Sea 3-4, in the open of the South and Central Adriatic 4-5, calming gradually in the North Adriatic to 2-3. Visibility 20 km. Mostly clear, but in the open of the South Adriatic today still variably cloudy with a little risk of scattered rain or isolated rain showers with thunder.

Mostly clear with some passing cloud through the day. In the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic light to moderate, south of Istria up to fresh NW, and along the coast during the night still NE winds. In the South and in a part of the Central Adriatic moderate to strong, in the extreme south at first still up to near gale force NE winds, turning gradually toward the open, during the day along the coast as well, to NW. Sea smooth or slight, in the Central and South Adriatic slight and moderate, toward the open possibly up to rough.
