The ridge of high pressure is expected to intensify from the west.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

NW winds 6-16, easing gradually in the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic during the night to 4-10 knots. Along the coast NE winds 4-12, in the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic up to 16, in the Velebit Channel up to 26 knots, easing gradually toward the end of the day and during the night. Sea 2-3, in the Velebit Channel during the day possibly 3-4, and calming along the coast during the night to 1-2. Visibility 10-20, in places around 4 km due to mist. Variably cloudy with a very little risk of light scattered rain, mainly in the open of the South and of a part of the Central Adriatic. In the North, till the end of the day in the Central Adriatic as well, partial clearing.

Mostly clear with some passing moderate cloudiness. In the open of the South Adriatic during the night still variably cloudy with a very little risk of light scattered rain. A risk of mist in places. Along the coast mainly calm, in the extreme south during the night still light to moderate NE winds. In the open sea light, in the South and in a part of the Central Adriatic up to moderate NW winds, easing gradually, firstly in the northern part. Sea calm or smooth, in the open of the South Adriatic possibly up to slight.
