SYNOPSIS

The ridge of high pressure lies over the Adriatic, while a front is approaching from the northwest and it is expected to shift mainly north of the Adriatic.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

NE and NW winds 4-14, in the extreme south of the Adriatic up to 18, easing during the day to 4-12 knots. Sea 2-3, in the extreme south 3-4, calming during the day. Visibility 10-20 km. Mostly clear.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE NEXT 12 HOURS

Light NE and NW, strengthening again in the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic toward midday to moderate, in the Velebit Channel up to strong. Sea calm or smooth, in the extreme south at first and in the Velebit Channel toward midday up to slight. It is expected to become variably cloudy, particularly in the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic, but mainly dry.
