SYNOPSIS

The low over the central Mediterranean is still deepening and it will slowly shift toward the Adriatic.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

SE and S winds 20-38, easing north and west of Istria in the afternoon and gradually all along the North Adriatic toward the middle of the night, and turning to SW and NW, along the coast biefly to NE winds, 8-18 knots. Sea 4-5, in the open of the South and of a part of the Central Adriatic 5-6. Visibility 10 km. Mainly cloudy with scattered rain, isolated rain showers and thunder.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE NEXT 12 HOURS

In the North, then in a part of the Central Adriatic, fresh SW and NW, in places along the coast briefly NE winds, and in the rest of the Adriatic still near gale and gale force SE and S, turning toward midday to S and easing slowly, except in the extreme south. Sea moderate and rough, in the South and in a part of the Central Adriatic up to very rough, but calming gradually in the northern part of the Adriatic. Mainly cloudy with scattered rain, isolated rain showers and thunder.
