IN THE OPEN OF THE SOUTH AND OF A PART OF THE CENTRAL ADRIATIC AT FIRST, STILL GUSTS OF NW WINDS 35-40 KNOTS. GUSTS OF SE WINDS EXPECTED TO STRENGTHEN FROM THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT TO 35-50 KNOTS. SEA LOCALLY UP TO 5 DURING THE FORENOON. LIGHT ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS.

SYNOPSIS

The low is shifting from the Adriatic further eastwards, while a deep trough is already approaching from the west and a new low is expected to generate over the central Mediterranan.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

NW winds 8-18, in the open of the South and Central Adriatic up to 26 knots, easing gradually, firstly in the northern part of the Adriatic and turning later on to SE, strengthening rapidly to 12-24 knots. Sea calming briefly to 2-3, and increasing again in the evening to 3-4. Visibility 10-20 km. Variably cloudy with rain, showers and thunder. Partial clearing is expected briefly.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE NEXT 12 HOURS

SE winds strengthening to strong and near gale force and sea to moderate, during the forenoon up to rough. A new cloud increase with rain, firstly in the North Adriatic.
