SYNOPSIS

In the deep trough approaching from the northwest, the low is expected to deepen over the Tyrrhenian and Ionian Sea.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

SE and SW winds 6-16, in places up to 20, in the North and in a part of the Central, then gradually in the rest of the Adriatic, turning to NE and N and strengthening to 12-24, in places up to 28 knots. Sea 2-3, toward the open 3-4. Visibility 10-20 km. Variably cloudy with rain in places and with a risk of isolated rain showers and thunder.

Moderate to strong, in places up to near gale force NE and N winds, easing gradually in the northern part of the Adriatic toward midday. Sea slight and moderate, in the open of the South Adriatic up to rough. Variably cloudy with rain in places and with a risk of isolated rain showers and thunder. Precipitation expected to cease and sky to clear up tomorrow morning.
