LOCAL GUSTS OF NE and N WINDS 35-60, FROM THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT 35-45 KNOTS. IN THE OPEN OF THE CENTRAL AND SOUTH ADRIATIC SEA LOCALLY UP TO 5. A RISK OF LIGHT ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS IN THE OPEN SEA.

SYNOPSIS

The ridge of high pressure still intensifying toward the Adriatic from the northwest, while the low is slowly shifting from the Aegean toward the Black Sea. A weakened frontal disturbance is expected to approach from the north.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

NE and N winds 12-28, in the Central and South Adriatic up to 34, easing gradually in the northern part to 8-18 knots and turning in the open sea to NW. Sea 3-4, in the open of the Central and South Adriatic 4-5, calming in the northern part late in the day and during the night. Along the coast partly clear. Toward the open sea variably cloudy with a little rain or snow, and with a risk of isolated rain showers and thunder.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE NEXT 12 HOURS

NE and N winds easing gradually and turning toward the open sea to NW, but in the Central and South Adriatic still up to strong. Sea calming to smooth or slight, in the South and Central Adriatic to slight and moderate. A new cloud increase. Light precipitation and thunder possibly mainly in the open sea.
