LOCAL GUSTS OF NE and N WINDS 35-60, FROM THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT 35-45 KNOTS. SEA LOCALLY IN THE OPEN OF THE CENTRAL AND SOUTH ADRIATIC 5, IN THE MORNING POSSIBLY STILL UP TO 6. A RISK OF LIGHT ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS IN THE OPEN SEA.

SYNOPSIS

The ridge of high pressure is still intensifying from the northwest toward the Adriatic, while the low is shifting from the Aegean toward the Black Sea. A weakened frontal disturbance is expected to approach from the north.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

NE and N winds 12-28, in the Central and South Adriatic up to 34, easing gradually in the northern part of the Adriatic from the middle of the day to 6-16 knots, and turning in the open sea to NW. Sea 3-4, in the open of the Central and South Adriatic 4-5, in the morning still up to 6, but calming in the afternoon, firstly in the northern part. Along the coast partly clear, toward the open sea variably cloudy with a little rain or snow, and with a risk of a shower with thunder.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE NEXT 12 HOURS

NE and N winds further easing, in the Central and South Adriatic still up to strong, in the first part of the night even near gale force. Sea calming to slight and moderate, but in the open of the Central and South Adriatic at first possibly still up to rough. A new cloud increase. Light precipitation and thunder are possible mainly in the open sea.
