GUSTS OF NE and N WINDS 35-55, TOWARD THE END OF THE DAY UP TO 75 KNOTS. SEA LOCALLY UP TO 5 LATE IN THE DAY AND DURING THE NIGHT. FOG PATCHES ONLY IN THE NORTH ADRIATIC AT FIRST. A RISK OF LIGHT ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS, MAINLY IN THE OPEN SEA.

SYNOPSIS

The weakened cold front is approaching from the north and it is expected to shift across the Adriatic.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

NW winds turning to NE and N and strengthening to 14-28, toward the end of the day and during the night to 18-32, in places up to 38 knots. Sea 2-3, increasing to 3-4, during the night to 4-5. Visibility 10-20 km, but in the North Adriatic at first still reduced due to mist or fog, mainly along the Italian coast. Cloud increase, bringing rain later on. Isolated rain showers and thunder are also possible, mainly in the open sea, and wind drifted snow in the Velebit Channel.
