SYNOPSIS

The ridge of high pressure over the Adriatic is gradually weakening, while a shallow trough with weakened frontal disturbance is approaching from the north.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

NE winds 6-16, in places at first still up to 20, in the extreme south of the Adriatic up to 24, turning to NW 6-16, toward the open sea possibly up to 20 knots. Sea 3-4, calming to 2-3, most lately in the extreme south of the Adriatic. Visibility 10-20, in places during the night reduced to around 4 km due to mist. Mostly clear.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE NEXT 12 HOURS

Light to moderate, toward the open sea up to fresh NW, turning in the morning to NE and strengthening to strong, in places up to near gale force. Sea smooth or slight, increasing in the morning to moderate. Mostly clear. In the morning cloud increase with scattered rain, mainly in the open sea, where isolated rain showers and thunder are possible. A risk of mist here and there during the night.
