LOCAL GUSTS OF NE and N WINDS 35-60 KNOTS. SEA IN THE OPEN OF THE CENTRAL AND SOUTH ADRIATIC UP TO 5. IN THE OPEN SEA A RISK OF LIGHT ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS. A RISK OF FOG PATCHES IN THE EXTREME NORTH OF THE ADRIATIC DURING THE NIGHT AND TOMORROW MORNING.

SYNOPSIS

The ridge of high pressure is extending from the northwest toward the Adriatic, while the low is deepening over the Ionian Sea.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

NE and N winds strengthening to 14-28, in places up to 34, only west and north of Istria 4-14, during the night briefly up to 18 knots. Sea 2-3, more to the south of Istria increasing to 3-4, during the night to 4-5. Visibility 10-20 km, but in the open of the North Adriatic reduced due to mist, and mainly along the Italian coast possibly due to fog. Variably cloudy with a risk of a little rain, in the open sea of isolated rain showers and thunder. Partial clearing is expected along the coast late in the day.
