LOCAL GUSTS OF NE and N WINDS 35-60 KNOTS. SEA LOCALLY IN THE OPEN OF THE CENTRAL AND SOUTH ADRIATIC DURING THE NIGHT UP TO 5. A LITTLE RISK OF LIGHT ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS IN THE OPEN SEA. FOG PATCHES ARE LIKELY IN THE EXTREME NORTH OF THE ADRIATIC THROUGH THE NIGHT.

SYNOPSIS

The ridge of high pressure is extending from the northwest toward the Adriatic, while the low is deepening over the Ionian Sea.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

NE and N winds strengthening to 14-28, in places up to 34, only west and north of Istria still 4-12 knots. Sea 2-3, in the open, more to the south of Istria, increasing to 3-4, in the evening to 4-5. Visibility 10-20 km, but in the open of the North Adriatic possibly reduced due to mist. Variably cloudy with a risk of a little rain, in the open sea of isolated rain showers and thunder. Gradual clearing is expected in the afternoon, firstly along the coast.
