WARNING

IN THE AFTERNOON AND IN THE FIRST PART OF THE NIGHT LOCAL GUSTS OF NE WINDS 35-45 KNOTS. A RISK OF FOG PATCHES IN THE NORTH ADRIATIC, REDUCING VISIBILITY HERE AND THERE TO LESS THAN 200 METERS, PARTICULARLY IN THE OPEN SEA THROUGH THE NIGHT.

SYNOPSIS

The ridge of high pressure is extending toward the Adriatic from the northwest, while a frontal system will be shifting north of the Adriatic.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

NE winds 8-18, in places up to 24 knots, easing gradually in the North Adriatic, most lately in the Velebit Channel. Sea 2-3, in the open possibly up to 4, calming in the northern part in the evening to 1-2. Visibility in the Central and South Adriatic above 20 km, but in the North 10-20, in places reduced due to mist and fog, possibly to less than 200 meters, particularly in the open through the night. Mostly clear, but cloud increase with a risk of a little rain is expected toward the end of the day, firstly in the North Adriatic.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE NEXT 12 HOURS

Light to moderate NE and NW winds, in the Central and South Adriatic in the first part of the night still up to fresh. Sea smooth or slight. Variably cloudy with a risk of a little rain, mainly in the open sea. A risk of mist and fog in the North Adriatic.
