SYNOPSIS

The ridge of high pressure is extending from the northwest toward the Adriatic.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

NE winds strengthening to 8-18, in places up to 24 knots, easing gradually in the North Adriatic late in the day. Sea increasing to 2-3, only locally toward the open to 3-4. Visibility 10-20, but in places at first possibly reduced due to mist and fog, in the open of the North Adriatic again during the night. Mostly clear. In the North Adriatic becoming variably cloudy with a risk of a little rain late in the day.

Light to moderate, in the South and Central Adriatic moderate to strong NE winds, easing gradually in the second part of the night. Sea smooth or slight, in the open of the South and Central Adriatic up to moderate. In the open sea of the North Adriatic a risk of fog. Variably cloudy with a risk of a little rain only in places.
