LIGHT ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS ARE LIKELY. IN THE NORTH ADRIATIC, SOUTH OF ISTRIA, AND IN A PART OF THE CENTRAL ADRIATIC DURING THE NIGHT, LOCAL GUSTS OF SW WINDS 35-40 KNOTS.

SYNOPSIS

The field of high air pressure over the Adriatic is gradually weakening, while a new trough is approaching from the northwest.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

Mainly W and NW winds 4-12, in the South and in a part of the Central Adriatic up to 16 knots, easing gradually. Toward the end of the day winds will turn firstly in the North, then in the rest of the Adriatic, to SW and strengthen to 6-16, in the North Adriatic, south of Istria, and in a part of the Central Adriatic, to 10-20, during the night up to 24 knots. Sea 2-3, in the North Adriatic, south of Istria, during the night 3-4. Visibility 10-20, in places reduced to around 4 km due to mist. Variably cloudy with a risk of a little rain or isolated rain showers and thunder.
