SYNOPSIS

The shallow field of low pressure is shifting further eastwards, while a new trough is approaching the Adriatic from the northwest.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

NW winds 6-16, in the open of the Central and South Adriatic briefly up to 20, and along the coast of the South Adriatic this morning still SE winds 8-18 knots. In the northern part of the Adriatic this morning, and elsewhere till the end of the day, winds will ease and turn toward the end of the day and during the night to SW 4-14 knots. Sea 2-3. Visibility 10-20, in places around 4 km due to mist. Variably cloudy with a risk of a little rain or isolated rain showers and thunder, mainly in the South and in a part of the Central Adriatic during the day.

Variably cloudy with a risk of a little rain or isolated rain showers with thunder in the South and in a part of the Central Adriatic at first, and along the coast of the southern part of the North Adriatic during the night. Light to moderate SW winds, strengthening in a part of the North Adriatic, south of Istria, and in northern Dalmatia, up to fresh. Sea smooth or slight, in the open of the North Adriatic, south of Istria, possibly up to moderate around the middle of the night.
