LIGHT ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS ARE LIKELY IN THE NORTH ADRIATIC TOMORROW. A RISK OF GUSTS OF SE WINDS 35-40 KNOTS IN A PART OF THE NORTH AND CENTRAL ADRIATIC TOMORROW MORNING.

SYNOPSIS

The ridge of high pressure is extending over the Adriatic from the northeast, while a new low is expected to generate over the western Mediterranean.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

NE, in the open sea NW winds 4-14, in the extreme south of the Adriatic at first still up to 18 knots, dying away gradually. During the night SE winds, along the coast E as well, strengthening gradually to 10-20 knots. Sea calming to 1-2, most lately in the extreme south, and increasing again during the night to 2-3. Visibility 10-20, in places reduced to around 4 km due to mist. Mostly clear, but gradual cloud increase is expected, firstly in the northern part of the Adriatic, where rain is likely late in the night.

Variably cloudy with rain in the North, then in a part of the Central Adriatic, in the northern part before the morning with a risk of isolated rain showers and thunder. Light to fresh, early in the morning in a part of the North and Central Adriatic, up to strong SE winds. Sea slight, in the morning in a part of the North and Central Adriatic possibly up to moderate.
