SYNOPSIS

The ridge of high pressure has intensified from the north toward the Adriatic, while the low will be shifting gradually from the Ionian toward the Aegean Sea.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

NE and N winds 14-28, in places up to 32 knots, easing toward the end of the day, west and north of Istria already during the forenoon. Sea 3-4, in the open 4-5, calming firstly in the extreme north. Visibility above 20 km, but in the open of the North Adriatic in the evening possibly less than 1 km due to fog. Mostly clear and cold. In the southern part of the Adriatic variably cloudy with a risk of rain or showers with thunder during the forenoon.

NE and N winds easing, only in the South Adriatic still up to strong, at first even near gale force. Sea calming gradually to smooth and slight, in the open of the southern part to moderate. Mostly clear. In the open of the North Adriatic a risk of fog.
