SYNOPSIS

The low over the Tyrrhenian Sea will be shifting toward the Ionian Sea, while a ridge of high pressure will intensify from the northeast.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

NE winds strengthening to 14-28, in places up to 32, in the Velebit Channel up to 38 knots. Toward the open sea of the South Adriatic SE and E winds 14-28 knots. Sea increasing to 3-4, late in the day and during the night to 4-5. Visibility 10-20 km. Overcast with rain and with a risk of isolated rain showers and thunder, and mainly along the coast with a risk of sleet and snow. End of precipitation and partial clearing expected late in the day and during the night.

Sea slight and moderate, toward the open and in the Velebit Channel up to rough. Variably cloudy with rain or isolated rain showers and thunder, mainly along the coast with sleet or snow. In the North Adriatic mostly clear. Toward midday even in the rest of the Adriatic gradual end of precipitation and partial clearing.
