A RISK OF ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS FROM THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT, FIRSTLY IN THE OPEN SEA, AND LOCAL GUSTS OF E and SE, IN THE NORTH AND IN A PART OF THE CENTRAL ADRIATIC OF NE and E WINDS, GRADUALLY STRENGTHENING TO 35-45, IN THE VELEBIT CHANNEL FROM MIDDAY UP TO 60 KNOTS.

SYNOPSIS

The field of high pressure over the Adriatic has intensified briefly. A new low is already deepening over the central Mediterranean.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

NW and NE winds 4-14, in the southern part at first up to 20 knots, easing and dying away gradually. Sea 2-3, only in the open of the South Adriatic up to 4, calming briefly. Visibility 10-20 km. Partly clear and cold, but cloud increase is expected, firstly in the northern part.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE NEXT 12 HOURS

E and SE, in the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic NE and E winds, strengthening rapidly, toward midday moderate to strong, in places up to near gale force. Sea increasing again to slight and moderate. Overcast with rain and with a risk of isolated rain showers and thunder, in places with sleet and snow, mainly in the North and Central Adriatic.
