The low centered over the Ionian Sea is gradually shifting further eastwards.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

In the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic NE winds 12-28, in the Velebit Channel at first still up to 34, easing west and north of Istria during the night to 4-14 knots. Elsewhere in the open sea NW winds strengthening to 15-30, along the coast NE 12-26 knots. Sea 3-4, in the North Adriatic at first, and in the open of the rest of the Adriatic toward the end of the day possibly up to 5. Visibility 10-20 km. Gradual clearing, firstly in the North Adriatic. In the South Adriatic today, and in a part of the Central at first, scattered rain and a risk of isolated rain showers and thunder, mainly in the extreme south of the Adriatic.

In the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic moderate to strong NE, west and north of Istria, tomorrow in the morning elsewhere as well, easing to light to moderate. In the South and in a part of the Central Adriatic moderate to strong NE, in the open sea strong, locally up to near gale force NW winds, easing a little in the morning. Sea slight and moderate, in the open of the South and Central Adriatic possibly up to rough, calming in the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic in the morning to smooth and slight.
