LIGHT ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS, MAINLY TOWARD THE OPEN SEA. FROM THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT GUSTS OF SE and E WINDS STRENGTHENING TO 35-45, IN THE EXTREME NORTH AND ALONG THE COAST OF THE NORTH ADRIATIC, OF NE UP TO 50 KNOTS.

SYNOPSIS

The field of high pressure lies over the Adriatic, while some moist and unstable air is still circulating in high levels. A field of low pressure is expected to generate over the western Mediterranean.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

Variable winds 4-12 knots. Late in the day and during the night SE and E, in the extreme north and along the coast of the North Adriatic NE winds, strengthening gradually to 8-18 knots. Sea 1-2, increasing during the night to 2-3. Visibility 10-20 km. Variably cloudy with a risk of a little rain or isolated rain showers and thunder, mainly toward the open sea.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE NEXT 12 HOURS

SE and SW, in the extreme north and along the coast of the North Adriatic NE winds, further strengthening to moderate to strong, in places up to near gale force. Sea increasing to slight and moderate. Heavier cloud increase is expected, bringing rain or isolated rain showers and thunder particularly in the open sea.
