SYNOPSIS

The shallow filed of low pressure lies over the Adriatic, while the ridge of high pressure is expected to intensify from the northwest.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

Variable winds 4-10, becoming NW 10-18 knots, firstly in the North, in the afternoon in the rest of the Adriatic. Sea increasing to 2-3. Visibility 10-20, in places reduced to around 5 km due to mist, but expected to improve. Variably or mainly cloudy with scattered rain. Gradual clearing is expected from midday in the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic. No significant change in air temperatures.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE NEXT 12 HOURS

Mostly clear, but in the South and in a part of the Central Adriatic at first still variably cloudy with light scattered rain, then clearing will follow. Moderate to strong, in places up to near gale force, NE winds. Sea smooth or slight, in the Velebit Channel and toward the open up to moderate.
