SYNOPSIS

The ridge of high pressure is extending over the Adriatic from the northeast, while a new trough with frontal disturbance is approaching from the northwest.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

NE winds 4-12, in places at first still up to 16, in the Velebit Channel up to 22, turning gradually to SE, in places along the coast to E winds 6-16, in the extreme north of the Adriatic during the night again to NE 4-14 knots. Sea 2-3, in the Velebit Channel at first still 3-4. Visibility 10-20, in places reduced to around 4 km due to mist. Variably cloudy, still with a little risk of light scattered rain, mainly late in the day and during the night.

Light to moderate, only in places possibly up to fresh SE, along the coast E winds, and in the extreme north of the Adriatic light to moderate NE. Sea smooth or slight. Variably cloudy with light scattered rain. A risk of mist in places, mainly during the night.
