IN THE EXTREME SOUTH OF THE ADRIATIC AND IN THE VELEBIT CHANNEL AT FIRST STILL A RISK OF LOCAL GUSTS OF NE WINDS 35-45 KNOTS.

SYNOPSIS

The ridge of high pressure is extending over the Adriatic from the northeast, while a new trough with frontal disturbance is approaching from the northwest.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

NE winds 6-16, in the Velebit Channel and in the extreme south of the Adriatic up to 26, easing during the forenoon to 4-12, and turning later on to SE 6-16 knots. Sea 2-3, in the Velebit Channel and in the extreme south of the Adriatic at first possibly up to 4. Visibility 10-20 km. Cloud increase with a little risk of light scattered rain, mainly late in the day.

Mainly cloudy with a risk of light scattered rain. Light to moderate, only in places up to fresh SE, turning in the extreme north of the Adriatic to light to moderate NE winds. Sea smooth or slight.
