SYNOPSIS

The low with frontal system is slowly shifting across the South Adriatic further eastwards, while a ridge of high pressure is intensifying from the northeast.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

NE winds 18-32, in places up to 36, in the Velebit Channel up to 46 knots. Sea 3-4, in the open and in the Velebit Channel 4-5. Visibility above 20 km. Variably cloudy and cold, still with a risk of a little rain, mainly in the open sea, of isolated rain showers and thunder in the South Adriatic and of wind drifted snow in the Velebi Channel. Partial clearing is expected in the afternoon.

Strong and gale force, in the Velebit Channel up to storm force NE winds, easing in places in the second part of the night. Sea mainly moderate and rough. Further clearing and drop in air temperatures. In the open sea remaining variably cloudy and a risk of a little rain.
