A RISK OF FOG PATCHES, PARTICULARLY THIS MORNING. IN THE NORTH AND CENTRAL ADRIATIC FROM THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT GUSTS OF SE WINDS STRENGTHENING TO 35-45 KNOTS.

SYNOPSIS

The ridge of high pressure over the Adriatic will gradually weaken from midday.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

Calm or NW, in places along the coast NE winds, 4-12 knots. In the North and Central Adriatic from midday SE winds strengthening to 6-16, in the northern part up to 20 knots. Sea 1-2, in the North and Central Adriatic from midday gradually increasing to 2-3. Visibility 5-15, in places possibly less than 1 km due to fog, particularly this morning. In places variably cloudy with a risk of light scattered rain or drizzle, but heavier cloud increase is expected, bringing rain or rain showers in the North Adriatic late in the day and during the night.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE NEXT 12 HOURS

SE winds strengthening to moderate and fresh, in the North and Central Adriatic in the second part of the night up to strong. Sea increasing to slight, in the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic up to moderate. Mainly cloudy with scattered rain or rain showers mainly in the North Adriatic.
