In the open sea of the South and of a part of the Central Adriatic at times gusts of NW wind of about 35 knots, diminishing late in the day and at night. Thunderstorms in places, mainly in the South and in a part of the Central Adriatic.

SYNOPSIS

A shallow low over southern Adriatic is gradually filling up and shifting towards the east while a ridge of high is intensifying from the north.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

NW wind 8-18, locally in the open sea of the South and of a part of the Central Adriatic up to 24 knots, diminishing late in the day to 6-16 knots and at night locally along the coast turning to NE wind 4-12 knots. Along the coast of the North Adriatic NE wind 6-16 knots. Sea 2-3, still in the course of the day in the open sea of the South and Central Adriatic 3-4. Visibility 10-20 km. Variably cloudy with scattered rain, there is also a risk of showers with thunder, largely in the South and in a part of the Central Adriatic.

Along the coast light to moderate NE wind, towards the open sea NW wind, gradually diminishing towards midday. Sea smooth to slight, calming gradually. Variably cloudy with scattered rain only in some places or local showers with thunder.
