SYNOPSIS

The ridge of high pressure from eastern Europe lies over the Adriatic.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

Calm or variable winds 4-10, toward the end of the day and during the night NW 4-12, in the Central and South Adriatic 6-16 knots, turning along the coast and in the North Adriatic late in the night to NE. Sea 1-2, increasing during the night to 2-3. Visibility 10-20, in places around 2 km due to mist and possibly less than 1 km due to fog, mainly during the night. Fine or fair, in the North Adriatic variably cloudy with a risk of a little rain or drizzle.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE NEXT 12 HOURS

Light to moderate, in the Velebit Channel, in the morning in southern Dalmatia as well, up to fresh NE winds. In the open of the South and Central Adriatic moderate to fresh NW winds. Sea smooth or slight, in the open of the South Adriatic tomorrow morning possibly up to moderate. Mostly clear, but during the night becoming fine or fair, in the North Adriatic variably cloudy with a risk of a little rain or drizzle.
